As an investigator in the ATK section, you contribute to saving 20 lives per year and preventing more than 70 people from being seriously injured in traffic.

Workplace Description

The ATK section is located in Kiruna and is organizationally part of the operational unit of Region North. The section consists of about 70 employees and has a national responsibility for the country's traffic safety cameras. The system for Automatic Traffic Safety Control (ATK) is a shared responsibility between the Swedish Transport Administration and the Police. The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the measurement stations. The Police, in turn, is responsible for investigating the speed violations recorded by the measurement stations.

The ATK section places great emphasis on a good working environment – we have joint wellness activities and the authority also provides a wellness allowance of up to 4000 SEK per year, as well as a wellness hour per week. As an investigator at ATK, there may be an opportunity for remote work up to two days a week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an investigator with us, you will investigate traffic offenses detected in connection with automatic traffic safety control (ATK). You will work independently and actively with your cases in consultation with the preliminary investigation leader. In your work, you will also be responsible for conducting telephone interrogations and answering questions from the public that come in via phone. You are expected to work actively both individually and in groups. Investigators also collaborate with the prosecutor's office, local police, and traffic police.

The work involves a significant amount of computer work across several different systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• 3-year high school education or equivalent
• Good telephone and computer skills
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Experience in service-oriented work with customer contact via phone or personal meetings that the employer deems relevant for the position

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Current experience in administrative work that the employer deems relevant
• Current experience in handling and managing your own cases that the employer deems relevant
• Experience with various data systems that the employer deems relevant
• Experience working within the police authority
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond Swedish that the employer deems relevant

You take responsibility for your tasks and are self-driven in your way of working. You have an interest in investigative work and understand the importance of objectivity and the balance between efficiency and legal certainty.

In the role of investigator at ATK, you will work with relatively complex administration, which requires your ability to work in a structured and meticulous manner. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy helping and supporting others. You are also flexible in your way of working and have no problem adjusting and adapting to changing circumstances.
